Is this the most unique wedding I have ever seen? Heck yeah!
Was I able to feature the whole wedding into one post? Heck no! Why? Because it too damn good!
First of all, I love it when couples put effort into planning their wedding together instead of leaving everything to the bride. Jess and Nathan plastered their nuptials with their very musical personalities. And of course, they selected the Tivoli Theatre in Brisbane, Australia as the venue to their magical night. The images were, well… glorious! Thanks to the incredible Jess Jackson Photography. Prepare to be inspired. Ready, set, rock!
Here are the details about the event “We wanted something that when our guests left they walked away saying “that was Nathan and Jess”, so everything we organized from the moment people walked in to the moment they left.. from the candles that had a particular smell to the ridiculous amounts of lights everyone knew it was us. Nathan and I are both very musical so it was obvious that music was going to be a central theme to the whole day. We wanted to make sure that there was music playing from the moment guests walked in to the moment they left.”
“Right from the moment our guests walked in we wanted them to be wowed. But some of our favourites (moments) was the band that played the whole ceremony, the stage, the “photobooth” on stage with nathans instruments and the red ukulele’s we gave out at the end of the night as the bonbonniere’s.”
“Tegan from Blossom & Twine made us the most beautiful flowers. We had said we wanted all white flowers with lots of greenery and different textures. Which is exactly what she did. There was greenery and flowers down the middle of reception tables and at the ceremony we had flowers and greenery draping front of the stage.”
“One of the key features was the backdrop on the stage which was a beautiful gold drape which had hanging lights down in front of it. We had some beautiful old red velvet lounges that offset the red carpet throughout and everything else was just little bits and pieces.”
I will be back with the second part of Jess and Nathan’s wedding. Happy Monday!
