Rise and shine my Royal Ladies! Today’s wedding has to be one of the most fabulous vintage glam weddings that I have seen in a while. From the soft pastel color palette mixed with accents of light blues and pink, to the vintage inspired paper flowers made by the MOB, Diane Rodriguez from Spanglish Studios captures memorable images of Liana & Jorge’s wedding day at the very unique Metropolitan Building.
I’ll admit that my favorite images have to be from the session of the bride and bridesmaids with the mirror wall in the background and the incredible chandelier. I love how Diane encapsulated everybody’s personality in just a couple of shots.
And just like Diane would say, let’s get to the “juicy + loving stuff”. Here is Liana & Jorge’s love story:
Living within 5 blocks of each other for 3 years, Liana and Jorge’s path never crossed until October of 2008.
Jorge would first lay eyes on Liana at work when she was hired. While not a torrid Office Romance, a friendship developed over games of Chess and Mortal Kombat at the job. Little did they know, that behind all of the smiles and stares was a deep affection for one another.
Much like the secret OFFICE Romance of Jim And Pam, Jorge fell for the beautiful receptionist and decided to ask her out for Valentines day of 2009. Jorge delivered a secret admirer gift and message on Liana’s desk with only the words “Do not make plans for Saturday. Await my call tonight”.
That evening Liana answered a phone call and was relieved that it was the right guy (she had many admirers). Liana and Jorge’s first date culminated with a first kiss under the Brooklyn Night Sky.
Doesn’t Diane‘s images make you laugh with the bridesmaids? They all look so lovely!
Oh, there she is. Trying to sneak up on the groom, so cute!
Love love love this picture of them, how beautiful is Liana?
Swooning over the heart detail on this engagement ring.
How adorable is this little buddy? And let’s talk about the aerialist, a great idea to entertain the guests.
Um yeah. Because a wedding cake is not a wedding cake without a crown, yes!
Congrats, Liana and Jorge! You make a stunning couple, and thank you Diane for sharing with us this beautiful wedding.
